NITV Celebrates 25th Anniversary

The Network for Instructional TV, Inc.'s Silver Anniversary celebration took place at The Madison Hotel, in Washington, D.C., on December 5, 2004. More than 80 people—colleagues, family, friends, and long-time NITV supporters—were in attendance, including Mrs. Bettina Curtis, wife of the late John A. Curtis, NITV's Founder and its first Chairman of the Board.

Dr. William H. Harris, NITV's current Chairman of the Board, served as the mas­ter of ceremonies. Highlights of the eve­ning's festivities included:

• A tribute to John Curtis by Steven J. Gorski, NITV's Senior Vice President and a founding director of NITV;

• A salute to Thomas A. Pyle, who re­tired on December 31, 2004 after serving 18 years as NITV's Executive Director and CEO, by LTG William J. Hilsman USA (Ret.), NITV's Chairman Emeritus and;

• Mr. Pyle’s moving remarks of appreciation to colleagues and staff..
