Synopsis:

When a thoughtful approach is used in planning games for young children, the children gain confidence by working together toward a goal and insecurity is avoided because young children find it difficult to understand formal rules.  The need to learn cooperation and problem-solving can be transferred to the games that are offered to young children. This hands-on session will offer strategies for non-competitive games to encourage inclusion and pro-social behavior among young children, while having fun! Having the participants engage in an interactive session by participating in games will offer them the opportunity to think through the challenges and solutions that make the games more inclusive and developmentally appropriate.
