Synopsis:

Children are curious, hands-on explorers, thus early childhood educators must provide the appropriate environment and tools to support such learning. It is imperative that early childhood educators weave STEAM components seamlessly into their daily planning. This presentation will offer practical STEAM concepts and ideas to help educators advance STEAM learning in their early learning programs.

Objectives:

  1. Acquire knowledge of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts & Mathematics, or STEAM, concepts and practical strategies for application in early childhood classrooms.
  2. Obtain tips on research-based practices for engaging children in STEAM activities by participating in discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on learning.
