Bilingual Parent Educator and Family Resource Coordinator at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin

Nelly earned her B.A. and M.A. in Marketing and Advertising at Universidad Santa Maria in Caracas, Venezuela. She has over 20 years of expertise in public relations, professional development and community engagement, working in marketing at a variety of international companies, including American Express, General Motors and Ralston-Purina.

 

Nelly's strength comes through her innate ability to use her experience in order to understand the knowledge and skills her clients need to improve their parenting performance. She is a practitioner of evidenced-based parenting programs, including Triple P® (Positive Parenting Program), Raising a Thinking Child® and Nurturing Parenting®, and a D2L facilitator of Stewards of Children®. She is also a National Alliance of Children's Trust and Prevention Funds Certified Trainer for Bringing the Protective Factors Framework to Life in Your Work.

 

Nelly is also a Master Trainer at The Registry, Wisconsin's Recognition System for the Childhood Care and Education Profession.  Because of Nelly's unique background, she is routinely sought after to provide trainings to parents, early learning providers, and professionals in the areas of health, social work and community engagement. In her current roles, Nelly serves as a bilingual Parent Educator and Family Resource Coordinator at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin-Community Services, and Family Projects Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Extension.
