Director of External Engagement, Council for Professional Recognition

Tre Maxie has over 20 years in executive leadership positions. He was a former policy-maker, serving as a member on the Washington State Board of Education from 2011-2016. During his multiple terms, he worked to advance state-wide innovative policies that strengthened outcomes for children and reduced achievement and opportunity gaps in early childhood and K-12 education. Tre is currently the Director of External Engagement for the Council for Professional Recognition. Tre attended Morehouse College, where he earned a B.A. in Political Science Pre-law. In addition, he earned a certificate in Creating Business Strategy from Columbia University. He also earned a certificate from the Executive Leadership Institute at the Evans School of Public Affairs at the University of Washington. Tre is recognized as a Certified Credentialing Specialist by the Institute for Credentialing Excellence.
