Synopsis:

A developmentally appropriate indoor and outdoor environment at early learning programs supports the development, play experiences, and  hands-on learning of young children.  The presentation will offer strategies for arranging an optimal learning environment for young children.  Participants will have the opportunity to apply the acquired techniques to “real world” classroom settings.   

Objectives:

  1. Learn elements of well-planned spaces designed for intentional play.
  2. Acquire strategies for arranging the physical environment to enhance learning and development of young children.
  3. Apply learned techniques to the organization of indoor and outdoor environments that facilitate social-emotional development and increase academic success.
